About the Role
Associates assist senior staff with core institutional priorities:
- Operation associates assist the Deputy Director on Operations with human relations, technology, and other operational tasks.
- Finance associates assist the Deputy Director on Finance with maintaining and growing funding and managing the budget.
- Communication associates assist the Co-Deputy Directors on Communications in managing external affairs through social media and news outlets.
- Leadership associates assist either the Jon A. Hayman Director or the Chief Deputy Director with the core priorities of the leadership offices.
All associates are able to apply to be fellows in the next cohort, with priority admittance for associates who receive recommendations from their supervisors. Leadership associates are able to be appointed to an executive role or as senior fellows based on the discretion of the Jon A. Hayman Director and the Chief Deputy Director.
Requirements
Be a high school student, in good standing, that is strongly motivated and hardworking.
About the Company
The Los Altos Institution on Politics, Policy, Law, and the Economy is America's first high schooler-run and oriented policy think tank and focuses on research around politics, all forms of public policy, law, and economics. The Los Altos Institution consists of research fellows who are currently in high school and is run by the Board of Overseers. Our research fellows are assisted by a team of advisors, including professors, college students, and professionals. The Institution hosts events, publishes research, and works to build better policy education and dialogue with a global audience.
