Your project delves into the role of journalism in the lead-up to the Spanish-American War, exploring how economic and business factors influenced the McKinley administration's decision to declare war. It will investigate the impact of yellow journalism, a sensationalist media phenomenon of the late 19th century, as part of this analysis. Primary sources such as newspapers and contemporary reporting will be central to your research, complemented by insights from secondary historians.

My research project aims to conduct a correlational study between water scarcity and conflicts, particularly focusing on the tensions between China and India. I will investigate the relationship between water scarcity in the South Asia region and border clashes, considering the significant role of the Brahmaputra River, which originates in Arunachal Pradesh—a territory claimed by both India and China. As climate change exacerbates water scarcity, the potential for conflict over this vital resource increases. By examining historical levels of water availability and incidents of border clashes, my goal is to assess whether a major correlation exists between these factors and to understand the implications for future conflicts.

In my long-form commentary, I delve into Nixon's intervention in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, arguing that it was at odds with American Cold War doctrine. I provide a detailed historical backdrop of Indo-Pakistani relations and U.S. involvement, highlighting Nixon's initial strategy to bolster Pakistan to counter Soviet influence over India and foster relations with China. However, my analysis underscores how this support backfired, leading to the backing of a military regime responsible for the genocide in Bangladesh and pushing India closer to the Soviet Union through their aid in the liberation of Bangladesh.

My project centers on crafting a comprehensive policy recommendation to ensure future Olympic Games embody unity and excellence, with a focus on benefiting marginalized communities. It advocates for transparent and inclusive decision-making processes through community advisory councils involving local residents, business owners, and marginalized groups. Regular public consultations and open data initiatives will enhance accessibility to planning documents and budgets. Prioritizing sustainable urban development by leveraging existing infrastructure and temporary venues, similar to Paris 2024, aims to minimize environmental impact and avoid displacement. Ultimately, these strategies aim to equitably distribute the financial and social benefits of hosting the Olympics, fostering positive community development and inclusivity.

My research investigates how macroeconomic indicators such as GDP growth, average wage growth, and GNI influence voter behavior in Indian elections. Under the occasional supervision of Prof. Stephen Wilkinson from Yale, I aim to analyze the correlation between these economic factors and voting patterns in India, exploring how fluctuations in macroeconomic health impact electoral outcomes.

My research paper explores the history of American government, military, and corporate involvement in Latin America, focusing on how U.S. presence in Central America has impacted regional crime, political, and economic instability. By creating a timeline from the construction of the Panama Canal through the Banana Republic era, World War II, the Cold War, and the War on Drugs, I will analyze the effects of each event on subsequent developments and current issues. The paper will conclude with an examination of the present situation and propose potential solutions for both the U.S. and Latin American governments to address high crime rates and instability.
