The Los Altos Institution is dedicated to fostering innovation and opening opportunities for youth from around the world. We serve as a hub for collaboration among high school students, professors, business leaders, and government officials to drive forward-thinking solutions in various fields. Through research initiatives, policy engagement, and experiential learning, the Institution empowers young leaders to tackle complex global challenges.

Institutional Priorities
Understanding What Drives Prosperity
Economics studies the forces that shape prosperity — markets, labour, trade and the institutions that govern them. It is led by Eli Orbach and Henry Conway.
Connecting Strategy and Global Relationships
Global Policy researches geopolitical relationships across the world and the strategic and institutional forces that influence international outcomes. It is led by Athan Joshi and Hamdan Khan.
Grounding Environmental Policy in Science
Environmental Policy studies the science underlying climate, energy, land and water, and how that evidence reaches the institutions that legislate on it. It is led by Nicholas Munkhbaatar.
Shaping Responsible Technology Policy
Emerging Technology examines how new technologies interact with institutions, governance and society. It is led by Aryan Aggarwal.
Where Economics Meets International Politics
International Political Economy examines trade, development, and the bargaining between states that shapes both. It is led by Arnav Maheshwari.
